Who are we?

UBE Corporation Europe (UCE) constitutes a group of companies integrated into the Japanese company, UBE Corporation.

We produce and distribute added-value chemical products and we create technological and sustainable solutions to satisfy the demands of the industry and its market trends.

We have had a presence in Europe for more than five decades and are also present in Latin America, through our subsidiaries and offices:

History

1964

UBE in Germany

UBE Industries, Ltd. opened a liason office (Origen of UBE Europe GmbH)

1967

Productos Químicos ESSO established

at Castellon to produce Caprolactam and Ammonium Sulfate- the origin of the company

1975

From ESSO to BANESTO

Company changed the name to PROQUIMED

1991

From BANESTO to British Petroleum

1994

UBE Industries, Ltd. entered

UBE Corporation Europe established

1999

1,6 Hexanediol & Ubesol 45

Production started

2004

Nylon 6 & Copolyamides

Plant started

2005

Policarbonatediol & 1,5 Pentanediol production started

2006

Engineering Plastics R&D Center opened

2010

UBE in Brazil

UBE LATIN AMERICA SERVIÇOS LTDA. established

2012

Castellón plant growth

Capacity Expansion in Ubesol 45 II, Policarbonatediol II,
Opened a logistic area at Port Castelló (40.000 m²)

2015

UBE in México

UBE MÉXICO S. DE R.L. DE C.V. established.

2017

Nylon compounding plant started

2018

Nylon capacity increases up to 70 kt/y

2019

Repol, SL in UBE Group

Acquisition of a shareholding control package in Repol SL.

2020

Liaison Office in Turkey

Opening of a liaison office of UBE Europe GmbH in Istanbul, Turkey.
