In 2021, UBE Corporation Europe announced its commitment of achieving Carbon Neutrality for its industrial activities in Spain before 2050, in line with a similar commitment acquired by the whole group, UBE Corporation, in the world.
One new step ahead in its plan for reducing the environmental impact of its products not only within the company but also throughout the whole supply chain, including raw material procurement, product use and disposal,. UBE Corporation Europe has established a system for calculating greenhouse gas emissions (hereinafter referred to as “GHG emissions”) by product*.
This system will allow UBE Corporation Europe to provide customers, in a quick and accurate manner, with Carbon Footprint data for each product manufactured by UBE Corporation Europe in its Castellon Plant. This information enables customers to make right decisions on their paths to carbon neutrality with a clear data on the GHG emissions across the supply and value chains.
The company will continue to enhance its commitment to addressing global environmental challenges and will continue its active support and actions in the broader community in its journey towards carbon neutrality.

*Product Carbon Footprints were calculated according to the standards ISO 14040-44, using fiscal year 2021 production data in combination with Ecoinvent V3.7 LCA database.
