UBE has developed an innovative range of bio-based polycarbonate diols. ETERNACOLL® BIO series is solvent-free, linear and aliphatic polycarbonate diols with bio-based content from 40 to USDA-certified 83%, and have been designed for producing polyurethane coatings, adhesives, elastomers, and sealants. This series is well-integrated with most polyurethane production processes, offering enhanced durability to retain the high performance over time under extreme working conditions.
ETERNACOLL® BIO grades offer excellent hydrolytic stability, chemical resistance, and high thermal stability to final polyurethanes. They enhance polyurethane materials by improving mechanical properties, tear resistance, hardness, and abrasion resistance, while maintaining optical properties. Moreover, these grades ensure superior retention of these properties after aging in extreme conditions compared to standard polyols.
