As electric mobility advances, materials used in high-voltage systems must meet demanding requirements for thermal stability, electrical safety, and long-term performance. DINALON® B1X25 G30V0 H-2003, developed by UBE Composites Europe, is a PA6-based compound reinforced with 30% glass fibre and designed to ensure reliability, safety, and outstanding colour stability under harsh operating conditions.
Engineered specifically for high-voltage components in electric vehicles (EVs), this grade offers an ideal balance between mechanical strength, flame retardancy, and processing efficiency. It achieves a UL 94 V-0 flammability rating even at low thicknesses (0.4, 0.8, and 1.6 mm) and features halogen and halide free, heat-stabilized technology, minimizing electrochemical corrosion in sensitive electrical environments.
DINALON® B1X25 G30V0 H-2003 exhibit high electrical properties; CTI (Comparative Tracking Index) of up to 600V, making them suitable for electrical applications.
The material delivers a tensile modulus of 11,000 MPa, stress at break of 120 MPa, and notched Charpy impact strength of 7 kJ/m², ensuring high mechanical integrity and resistance to impact and deformation. Moreover, DINALON® maintains excellent colour stability (ΔE < 5) after 1,000 hours of accelerated ageing at 130 °C, a critical property for orange parts exposed to continuous heat in electric vehicle architectures.
Certified Glow Wire Flammability Index (GWFI) 960 °C and Glow Wire Ignition Temperature (GWIT) 750 °C, this compound guarantees superior protection against ignition and thermal stress, aligning with stringent EV safety standards.
By combining safety, performance, and aesthetics, DINALON® B1X25 G30V0 H-2003 sets a new benchmark for high-voltage insulation materials in electric mobility applications.
