In July 2020 UBE Corporation Europe has been awarded a Gold medal under the EcoVadis CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Rating. EcoVadis assessments focus on 21 issues which are grouped into 4 themes (Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, Sustainable Procurement). The 21 issues or criteria are based upon international CSR standards such as the Global Compact Principles, the International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standard, the ISO 26000 standard, and the CERES principles.
This is a remarkable recognition of UBE Corporation Europe´s commitment to act responsibly by integrating social and environmental concerns into business operations. CSR goes beyond regulatory compliance to focus on how companies manage their economic, social and environmental impacts, as well as their relationships with stakeholders (e.g. employees, customers, suppliers, community and public institutions).
